Learning on paper is only the first step, in this class we will go beyond chart theory and get practical experience paddling currents
In this class we will cover, how to interpret current flow and tidal information, how to plot a ferry angle using a chart & ranging. Then apply this knowledge on the water, while learning and practicing fundamental paddling techniques in current, including peel outs, eddy catching, and ferry gliding. These are essential skills for safe paddling in tidal areas!
Location & Time: Tillamook Bay - ready to paddle at 10:30am. We will head out and work with currents in the Bay, getting off the water at apx 2:30-3. Then head to a warm nearby pub to go over tide & charts theory.
Cost $125 Plus 6% booking company fee. (Minimum enrollment 2 - Max 5 students)
